Individual Counseling

A process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained mental health clinician in a safe, caring, and confidential environment available for ages five and up via Telehealth or in person.

Couples and Family Counseling

Addresses the behaviors of all family members and the way these behaviors affect individuals and relationships between family members and the family unit as a whole.

Workshops and Community Outreach

Prevention and education to increase awareness and promote wellness through workshops, presentations, and community events

Groups

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services aimed at teaching emotional, cognitive, and social skills that help those with mental illness or disabilities live, work and thrive in their communities as independently as possible through a client-centered approach. Groups are created to address:
1. Meeting the needs of aging adults affected by presenting physical, relational and emotional limitations.
2. Focus in improving life and a social support, empowerment, interpersonal communication and coping skills in the lives of young adults living with neurological or mental health diagnoses to aid in transitioning into more effective and independent living.
3. After school group for children with a history of behavioral health services, focusing on behavioral interventions, academic support, social and emotional learning, recreational activities to improve function, transportation from school is provided.

TPG - Trauma Process Group using a post trauma growth model, this group meets 2 times a month, providing psychodrama, somatic and experiential methodologies in a supportive and cohesive atmosphere. We support the opportunity to address our history of trauma, violence or abuse and its effects on responses to daily living, how we relate to ourselves and others, while encouraging acceptance, courage and compassion.
*There is a waiting list for this group that opens four times a year. If interested in this group please contact us for an individual screening session before joining the waiting list.

Mindfulness-Based Group builds increased awareness of the present moment, allows persons the ability to be present in their lives and relationships while reducing symptoms that often interfere with daily life and increasing self-compassion. Groups are held monthly for:
1. Mindfulness Based and Self-Compassion
2. Compassion-Focused for Compassion Fatigue open to first-responders and their families.

Free Your Mind Group is a group-based intervention that provides teens and opportunity to confront unrealistic expectations on appearance, social ideals and develop healthy body image and self-esteem, while reducing anxiety, negative self-concept and gaining interpersonal skills and support.

The Dive Group - Diving into Life’s Challenges is a group for young adults who are struggling through the transition to adulthood or establishing healthy life skills to increase function, independence and self-esteem, reducing anxiety, negative self-concept, increase acceptance and gaining interpersonal skills and social support. This group meets 2 times a month.

Parenting Skills Group is a psychoeducation group that meeting monthly to provide workshop-style interventions to facilitate cooperation, mutual respect, communication co-parenting skills for parents of children ages 2-17 years old

First Responder Peer Support is a support group meeting on the 3rd Saturday of the month at our offices. This group is a stand-alone group and not affiliated to AWCC. It is open to all present and retired first-responders in the area.
